Outlook Express

Internet Service Provider

To create an email account now, [Outlook Express], sign up for an email account through your Internet service provider or online email service. You can manage emails and contacts by creating folders. Just drag and drop your emails or communications wherever you want. Outlook Express works like an answering service, notifying people when they are away. To set up an automatic response, create the document you want to view and save it as a text file. In [Outlook Express], select “Tools> Message Rules> Mail” from the home screen. Click “New” in the message rules dialog. A “New Message Rule” box will open. Put a checkmark next to “For all messages” for the rule conditions. Place a checkmark next to “Reply to the message” for rule actions. Get on the “Message” link for the rule description. Browse for the auto-responder file, and open it.

Messages

Outlook Express allows you to send secure, digitally signed, and encrypted messages. To send a digitally signed or encrypted message, compose a new message, and select “Tools Sign> Digital” or “Tools> Encrypt.”

Administrator

Outlook Express works as a contact manager to create / import contacts for everyone on your list. To import contacts from an address book or business cards, select “File> Import” from the menu. To add a contact of yours select “File> New / Contact”.

Newsgroups

You can manage newsgroups and send emails to your group members by creating an account in Outlook Express. To add a newsgroup account, select “Tools> Accounts” from the menu. Select the “Add” option in the “Internet Accounts” box. Choose “News” and follow the wizard’s prompts, provided you know the newsgroup server, account name, and password.

Applications

Outlook Express works with other Microsoft applications, so you can easily add attachments, check to spell, and format your work.
