It is curious to realize how exponential advances in technology are. In just a couple of years, we have experienced a real technological revolution that seems to be just the iceberg’s slope of what is coming our way.

Many are not fully aware that technology will be everything in a few years. Until recently, It was something reserve for technology “geeks” who don’t have it now? And that’s not to mention the expansion of smartphones.

Taking advantage of the fact that 2019 is about to come to an end, we will talk to you about the most anticipated technological devices of 2020. Folding phones, new generations of consoles, laptops with two screens, and much more!

PlayStation 5 vs. Xbox Series X

2020 is profitable to be a year of great relevance in the video game sector since we will see a whole different consoles group. The one that will surely take center stage will be the new PlayStation 5, which will be launched during Christmas 2020, as the company has advanced.

There are many immobile mysteries about this new console, but little by little, we have been learning brushstrokes from the mouth of Sony CEO Jim Ryan himself. According to him, one of the main innovations lies in renewing the control of the PS5.

The controller will have haptic feedback, a technology that will allow us to enjoy a great variety of sensations in the hands while we play. In this way, we will not feel the same when hitting a wall while driving when we make a driveway in a football game. Users can even distinguish textures such as grass or mud.

However, haptic feedback will not be the only novelty; some “adaptive triggers” will also be integrated. In other confrontations, the L2 and R2 buttons can be configured by video game developers so that users notice more or less resistance depending on the moment. For example, when drawing an arc or accelerating an SUV in a rocky area.

And, of course, the archenemy of PlayStation could not be missing. Yes, we remain to talk around the new Xbox, which has stood baptized as Xbox Series X. Different the photo of PS5 (which is far from official), the image you have just above does correspond to what was announced by Microsoft.

The Xbox Series X has a curious design, which is more reminiscent of the CPU of a desktop computer than of a video game console, a detail that combines perfectly with its style. Let’s not forget that Xbox is always developing thinking of many more uses than playing; that is the big difference with PlayStation.

Time for Folding Mobiles

2020 guarantee to be the year of folding devices, especially with expectations put on smartphones from Samsung and Huawei. However, for one reason or another, everything got stuck.

Both the Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X at the 2019 Mobile World Congress (MWC). However, both have subsequent issues that proved that actuality too rushed to launch a product can only bring bad results.

The company decided to send several of its folding phones to journalists to test them before they stood released on the market regarding the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Unfortunately, several had their phones broken after just one day of use.

After that episode, Samsung decided to delay its launch for several months, although it is currently on sale in Spain.

The case of the Huawei Mate X is different. This device managed to eclipse the Fold during the MWC. And everything seemed to indicate that it will launch during the summer of 2020.

However, shortly after, Trump’s war against Huawei would begin, which has made its arrival in Europe extremely difficult. For now, the device is only for sale in China.

Despite the folding failure in 2020, neither Samsung nor Huawei seem to think about forgetting about this type of device. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, confirmed to FrAndroid that during MWC 2020, they would present yet another foldable.

The foldable ones from Huawei and Samsung have been the most popular, but not the only ones. The most recent examples are in foldable devices from Lenovo and Motorola, with the Motorola Razr (mobile). And the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 (computer). OMICRON was able to test them in person, and here we tell the full experience.
